Types of Massages

Deep Tissue:

As its name suggests, deep-tissue massage aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of muscle tissue and fascia. Because of this, it uses more intense kneading techniques than Swedish.

Reflexology:

Reflexology is a specialized form of foot massage that stimulates precise points on the feet that correlate to organs, areas of the body, and all the different systems including respiratory, nervous, cardiovascular, hormonal, and more.

Sports Massage:

Sports massage is a fusion of deep tissue and stretch therapy. It is most beneficial from recovery after exercise, trauma, or extremely tense muscles.

Craniosacral Therapy:

Craniosacral (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses light touch to examine the membranes and movement of fluid in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. This is especially beneficial for migraine sufferers, TMJ/Tight jaw, auto-immune conditions, and chronic stress, depression, and anxiety.

Reiki:

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation and reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners uses their hands to improve the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Reiki is recommended

Neuromuscular Therapy:

This highly-specialized massage focuses on areas of muscle spasm to relieve chronic pain and stiffness. NMT is best for chronic pain caused by nerve damage, compression or entrapment, ischemia, myofascial trigger points or dysfunctional gait patterns.

Myofascial Release:

This technique introduces gentle sustained pressure to the connective tissue, easing restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.  Effective for pain caused by trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures. Best when paired with Neuromuscular Therapy to deactivate trigger points.

Prenatal Bliss:

The Prenatal Bliss massage offers 75 minutes of deep relaxation and relief for our expecting mamas. Prenatal massage has shown to provide wonderful benefits such as pain relief, reduced swelling/edema, stress/anxiety relief, and improved circulation. This massage is safe for most expectant mamas and can be customized to relieve specific areas of concern.

Lymphatic Drainage:

Lymphatic drainage massage is wonderful for facilitating drainage of the lymphatic system which helps rid the body of toxin build up and fluid accumulation. This therapy promotes circulation and drainage for a detoxed and reduced inflammatory effect on the body and is especially helpful for swelling during pregnancy/post-natal, certain inflammatory conditions, post-surgery, and may also aid in weight loss.
